In Mydoma there are a couple of ways the client can receive alerts on action happening in Mydoma. Firstly, there are a bell notifications within the studio, that are trigger due to actions taken by the design team. Secondly, the clients are also sent email alerts in addition to bell icon alerts when certain activities are being done by the designer. Just like any other user in Mydoma, the client also has an option to receive emails on alerts or not.

💡💡 Pro Tip: An email alert in particular is sent to only after a threshold of 5-10 minutes of inactivity at the client side in the Studio. Also, if the client was already logged into the studio and has seen the notifications/ clicked on the notifications from the bell icon, this will lead to not triggering the email alerts.💡💡
💡💡 Pro Tip: The client is able to log into the Studio and update the default settings and turn off email notifications as shown in the screenshot below. By default, the client is enabled to receive email alerts. If they choose not to, they can turn these alerts off, since they will be receiving notifications in their bell icon!!💡💡
Manual Email Alerts that can be sent to the Client:
When a design or a design firm employee does the following, email alerts are sent to the client, these are more or less push and send kind of alerts.:
Once the client is created, and an invite email is sent out, this alerts the client by EMAIL only.
When the invoice is ready for client to pay, the designer can Email the invoice directly from the invoice page.
An email out side your Studio or a manual message needs to be sent when the Proposal is first ready for the client’s review.
If the client is still new to the entire workflow, please message the client within Mydoma or by email about Notes, Mood boards, Invoices, Deliverables when you think these are ready for the client to review. And they will find these menu options in the Space.
Automatic Email and Bell Icon Alerts to the Client:
Certain actions by the designer and/ or design firm employees will automatically trigger alerts and this is to help you limit the unwanted communication effort on your part. This helps you save a lot of your precious time and also makes Mydoma as a seamless tool to collaborate with clients on their projects.
1) CONTRACT Related Alerts:
Client is automatically notified when a Contract is made ready for client acceptance, hence even if you have not invited the client to the portal yet, but added the client to the project, they are going to receive a notification. Please take a look at the screen shot.

2) MESSAGE CENTER Alerts:
When a message is sent to the client directly or as a Group message in the project the client is notified.

3) INVOICE made ready for client to pay:
The client is not automatically notified when an invoice is made ready for the client to pay. But only will appear as an unpaid invoice in the account, as shown in the screen shot below.
4) SPACE PROPOSAL made visible:
The client is not automatically notified when a Space proposal is made visible for the first time. But the Proposal menu will start to show up. You can email them out of Mydoma or send a message using the Message Center in Mydoma.
5) PROPOSAL ADDITIONS AND REVISION related alerts:
Once the client starts to approve and/ or request revision, going forward, any revisions will prompt a notification like this: This is a screenshot from the client’s log in.

6) ESTIMATES related Alerts:
When a documents/ photos/ presentations are uploaded in the Estimates Section, the client is automatically notified that they have a file awaiting acceptance, and the Estimates section will start showing up for the client. Please inform the client that they need to read and sign off the documents.

The user will receive notifications on the following:
When a contract is approved/ signed off by the client.
When an invoice has been paid by the client, the user is notified.
When the client approves and/or requests revision products in the proposal.
When the client and/or another user sends a message in the message center.
When a package is purchased, an email is also sent.
When a client approves a document in Estimates and/ or Proposal.
