A questionnaire is very important. Not only to your productivity, but it also sets the tone for the rest of the project with the client. Technology is changing the way we do business and people, in general, are busier than ever. This also means BOTH you AND your clients!

As a designer, you need to gather information from your client to do your job, and your clients need to take time out of their day to provide you with this information. And the simplest way to accomplish this for both them, and yourself is a questionnaire. And I’m not talking about just a piece of paper or an email that you’re sending them, you can make it even simpler!

What’s this secret weapon? An online questionnaire!

An online questionnaire is something that a client can easily fill out on their smartphone or tablet, and what’s more, it’ll give you the responses as soon as they click “submit”.

The great thing about using an online form builder like Google Forms, or JotForm is that you can then automate that task. So, when a potential client fills out a form on your website for a consultation, an email automatically fires off with your questionnaire.

In Mydoma Studio, our designers typically create a consultation package that’s embedded on their website. You can add your questionnaire to this package, as well as get the client to prepay for the consultation (score!)
