Inviting a client

Are you ready to take your client relationships to the next level? It's time to invite them into their very own client portal! This powerful tool will allow them to access all the information they need, from project updates to important documents, with just a few clicks. With this exciting feature, you can stay connected with your clients like never before, building trust and loyalty with every interaction. So let's dive in and explore the process of inviting your clients into their own client portal and unlocking a whole new level of collaboration and communication!

When you are ready to invite a client you will want to go into your client index, by clicking on the person icon on the left navigation menu.

Once here you will select the option to Add client. On a computer, this option will be at the top right. On a tablet or phone, this may be on the bottom right corner as a +.

When you are creating a client, you must have a First name, Last name, and a unique Email (that has not been used in the studio before).

Then on the bottom right you have the option to:

Add & invite - select if you are ready to invite your client.

Add & open - will save the client if you are not yet ready for them to login yet.

Add & create new - will save the client and let you start creating your next new client.

If you save and invite the client it will list them as invited as their status.

If you only saved the client by selecting Add & open or Add & create new, it will list the client as Inactive, and you will need to select Send Invite in their profile.

When you invite the client a generic message will populate for you, and you can customize the message for them. Then finalize the inviting process by choosing Send Invite.

If you invited a client by mistake or need to revoke the invitation for any reason you will enter the client profile and select Revoke Invitation, just below the invited status.

Invitations are only active for a limited time (more than 48 hours). If the client does not login in the allotted time, the invitation will expire. You will need to enter the client profile and select the option to Resend just below the invited status.

Here is an example of the invitation email that they will receive. It lists how long the link will be active at the bottom of the email.

Clients will select "Create Your Password" to go to your studio and create a password.

They will see a similar page like this and enter what they would like their password to be. Once they select "Set Password" this will take them to their dashboard in side the studio.

Their Status will also change to "Active" Once they have logged in the first time.

When they want to login in the future they will go to your studio login page and enter their email and password.

Publish/Unpublish Projects

You can now publish and unpublish your projects as a whole! This is a game-changer for situations where you want to keep things under wraps until the timing is just right.

Imagine having a client assigned to a project but not wanting them to receive any automatic notifications until you're ready to reveal your masterpiece. Or maybe a client has purchased a package, and you want to make it crystal clear that they should only focus on a specific project from now on. With our new feature, you can do just that and more!

You're in control, and we're thrilled to provide you with the flexibility you need to manage your projects seamlessly.

When you are in the Project Index you will easily be able to see if a project is published or unpublished by the eye icon, at the top right corner. If the eye icon has a slash through it and the project is grayed out, this means the project is unpublished, and not visible to your clients. If the eye icon is whole, then your project is published and visible to your clients.

You are also able to set this when you are creating a project! If you select the Add project icon at the top right this will open a pop-up for you.

When you are creating a project it will default to being unpublished. If you would like your client to join you from the very start you will want to switch this to Published.

Once you are in a project you will see the eye icon at the top of the navigation menu for the project no matter where you are in the project. Or if you are on the overview tab you will also see this at the top right.

To change the status you will select the pencil at the top of your project's navigation menu, or the more menu (3 dots) in the overview tab, and then select "Edit."

These options will open a pop-up that will allow you to switch the published status to either published or unpublished in the dropdown.
