Our Public Libraries make it easier than ever to discover inspiring products from top brands and vendors using the Mydoma product libraries or one of our partner vendor product libraries. We made it easy to use products from these libraries for your own projects. The best part? We regularly add new items to the Mydoma Product Libraries from vendor websites so you always have fresh inspiration at your fingertips.

Please note that while we clip the Products in the Mydoma product libraries for your use and update them from the vendor's website regularly, we do not make guarantees about any of the details. You will need to double check the specs, instructions, pricing, and other important info before moving forward with any product. Any products found in the public libraries will need to be ordered directly from the vendor.

Where can I find the Public Libraries?

You can find the Public Libraries anywhere you can add products to a package or project.

Products Section of Your Studio

In the Products section of your studio, there are two tabs. The first is My Catalog and contains all of the products you have added to your studio.

The second tab is the Public Libraries tab. Public libraries will contain products from the Mydoma Product Libraries and from our partner vendor product libraries.

Viewing Public Libraries

Library options are shown at the top and you can choose to:

  • View all libraries

  • View all favorites (this will only show your favorites within the public libraries, not your favorites in your own catalog)

  • View the Mydoma Retail Product Library

  • View the Mydoma Paint Library

  • View the Mydoma Trade Product Library

  • View our partner vendor product libraries (for example, SOURCC and Curated Kravet)

  • View multiple libraries (for example: Mydoma Trade, SOURCC, and Curated Kravet, but not Mydoma Paint or Mydoma Retail)

You can scroll through products from the product libraries, click on product cards to quick-view information, and even favorite products.

Searching and Filtering Public Libraries

Just as you can search and filter in your own product catalog, you can search and filter products in the public libraries. You can search for items by Price, Price Type, Size and Weight. You can search by Not only that, but the Mydoma Paint library can be filtered by color family!

Adding products from the Public Libraries to a project or package:

To add products from a public library to a project or package, select all of the products you would like to add by clicking on the checkbox in the product's top, left-hand corner.

For a project: Once you have everything selected, click the Add to project, select the project from the dropdown, then click Add. (You can also choose to search for the project's name.)

You can bulk add a tag to all items selected by clicking on the Add tags button, or add tags to individual items by clicking on the item's tag icon.

If you would like to add those same products to another project or package, you can select the add-to project or add-to package button again while the products are still selected.

For a package: Once you have everything selected, click the Add to package button, select package from the dropdown, then click Add. (You can also choose to search for the package's name.)

You can bulk add a tag to all items selected by clicking on the Add tags button, or add tags to individual items by clicking on the item's tag icon.

If you would like to add those same products to another project or package, you can select the add-to project or add-to package button again while the products are still selected.

Project or Package Products & Services List

Adding products from a public library to your project's or package's Products & Services can be done by clicking on the Product button in the upper, right-hand corner of the Products & Services section.

The Add product box will open. In the Source options, select Product Libraries.

You can search by Product name, Product Code, or Manufacturer.

You can also filter by:

  • Catalog - Choose which Public Libraries you'd like to include in your search

  • Color Family - Choose a color family (applies to the Mydoma Paint library only)

  • Price Type - Choose Trade or Retail

  • Vendor - Choose a specific vendor

  • Category - Choose a product category (public libraries do not have subcategories)

  • Favorites

  • Price Range

  • Price Type

  • Size

  • Weight

After you select products, and click Next, you will see a confirmation page. The confirmation page will allow you to apply tags and change quantities of the products being added. You can bulk add a tag to all items selected by clicking on the Add tags button, or add tags to individual items by clicking on the item's tag icon.

The last step is to click the Add button in the bottom right-hand corner. These products will not only be added to your project or package, they will also be imported into your product catalog.

If you select items you have previously imported from the public libraries, you will see a warning message that says: “Some products you’ve selected have been previously imported. Do you want to use the existing products in your product catalog or import them again?”

Below that, each conflicting product will be listed and you will be able to select whether you'd like to import a duplicate product or use the product you already have in your product catalog.

Project or Package Design Boards

Adding products from a public library to your project's or package's Design Boards can be done by clicking on the Add New button and selecting Product Image from the drop-down.

The Select Images box will open. In the Source options, select Product Libraries.

You can search by Product name, Product Code, Manufacturer, Finish, Color, Color Family, Price Range, Price Type, and Size Range.

You can also filter by:

  • Catalog - Choose which Public Libraries you'd like to include in your search

  • Vendor - Choose a specific vendor

Select the products you'd like to use. If you want to only add the images to the design board but not add the products to your project, select Import.

If you'd like to both add the images to the design board and add them to the project, select Import and add to project. Adjust the quantities and add any tags, then click Save. This will add the products to that design board, to the project's Products & Services, and to your product catalog.

If you select items you have previously imported from the public libraries, you will see a warning message that says: “Some products you’ve selected have been previously imported to your product catalog. Do you want to use the existing products in your product catalog or import them again?”

Below that, each conflicting product will be listed and you will be able to select whether you'd like to import a duplicate product or use the product you already have in your product catalog.

Design Board Hotspots linked to products in the public libraries will not add those products to your catalog.
