User, Team Member and Client Notifications

This article will help you understand when and who will receive notifications on triggers or actions conducted in the Studio. We will also learn about different types of Notifications Mydoma Studio is able to send the users, these are Push Notifications, Email alerts, Notification Center, and Message Center alerts.

Please note a few rules/ key to follow along this article, let's call them Pre-requisites for Notifications:

IFF means If and only if
All project-related notifications have a basic requirement of the user being on that project. That is if a user is not added to the project under User Access, he/ she will not get notified no matter what.
No notifications are sent to inactive or invited users. That is the user needs to be in Active state to be able to receive any sort of notifications.

What is a Push Notification?

Push notifications are messages that can be sent directly to a user's mobile device. Unlike in-app messages, push notifications can appear on a lock screen or in the top section of a mobile device.

What is an Email Alert?

Email alerts are the notifications you receive regarding an action taken by a user/ team member or a client. These email alerts are sent to the email connected to Mydoma Studio. Or you can say the email that you use to log into your Studio.

What is Notification Center?

Mydoma Studio has an in built Notification Center where you can see all the alerts you must be aware of. This is the Bell Icon on the top right corner of your screen.

What is Message Center?

Just like the notifications center, there is an in built messaging capability within your Studio and you can send and receive messages from team members, and clients in your portal. When there is a message waiting for you, you will see a trigger, or a dot showing up on the message center. The message center is the text bubble like icon on the top right corner of the screen and it is left to the Bell/ Notification Center Icon.
