Set up custom spec sheets for your project

A spec sheet is a page that lists out the specific features and characteristics of each product, such as dimensions, colors, finishes, and materials. The spec sheet also includes information about the manufacturer or supplier of each product, as well as the price, installation location, and more. The purpose of spec sheets is to give your team and the contractor a clear and comprehensive overview of all the materials and products being used in a project. (While spec sheets are similar to tear sheets, a tear sheet generally only shows a product's basic information.)

Creating spec sheets for your projects is quick and easy in Mydoma NEXT! Not only can you create your spec sheets directly from within your project, you have control over what product information is shown. When you generate spec sheets from a view in your project, all of that view's product spec sheets will be combined into one PDF document that has a cover page with your logo, the project name, and the name of the view.

PRO TIP: You can create spec sheet views for your project template so they're ready to go each time you start a new project.

Start in your project's Products & Services list:

Select the View that has the products for which you need spec sheets:

Check to make sure all of the fields you need are set to visible:

Then select Export to PDF:

And there you have it!
