How to create a Project Template
There are two different ways to create a project template.
The first is to create a Project with the base information you'll need to start any project. This can include a Welcome Packet, checklists, etc. After creating the project, click on the three dots next to the Project Name and click "Save Project as a template."
The second way is to go to your Projects tab, click on the three vertical dots of a project you've already created and would like to create as a template, then click " Save Project as a template."
Project Templates include:
Project features you've toggled on
Project Description on the Overview tab
Ready to sign or unpublished contracts (How to make contract templates here)
Products & Services and views you've created/added
Appointments
Questionnaires (How to make questionnaire templates here)
Files & Media
Moodboards
Notes
Tasks
How to use a Project Template
To start a project by using a Project Template, click "Add project" in the upper right-hand corner of your Projects tab.
Click the "Apply Template" button:
Click the Project Template dropdown to choose the template you wish to work from.
Please note: The project features are set by the selected template. If you filled out project information before selecting a template, it will be overwritten by the template.
Once you've selected your template, click "Apply"
Fill out the Basic setup information (Project feature image, project name, start and end date if applicable, and Status):
Next, scroll down to add any clients or team members:
You can scroll through the list of people or type a name into the search box:
Once you have added the person to the project, create the project by clicking the "Create Project" button OR click the down arrow beside "Create Project" and select "Create and Modify"
If you choose to create the project without making any modifications, the last step is to choose where in your project you would like to start and then click "Let's Go"
Create and Modify
You can choose to make modifications to the project you're creating from a template. Instead of clicking "Create," click the down arrow beside "Create Project" and select "Create and Modify"
Now, you can make adjustments to which project features are turned on or off:
Add or remove Project Tags and add folders to the Files & Media:
Remove contracts and select contract templates to add to the project:
You can also:
Select custom product templates to add to the project
Remove questionnaires and select questionnaire templates to add to the project
Remove design boards and select design board templates to add to the project
Remove tasks and select task templates to add to the project
Once you're done, click "Save Changes" to finalize the creation process.
The last step is to choose where in your project you would like to start and then click "Let's Go"
How to delete a Project Template
To delete a Project Template, go to your Studio Settings. You will find the Studio Settings as the first menu in the the gear icon at the top of the left menu.
Click "Templates"
Select the Project tab:
Click on the three vertical dots next to the template you'd like and click "Delete"
Please note: Deleted templates cannot be retrieved. You will have to re-save the template.
