Team Member Permissions for Task Management

Task Permissions

Task ➝ View: Has access to tasks, can be assigned tasks, can comment, can time track if they also have time tracking permission, can see and upload attachments

Task ➝ Edit: All of the above, plus can edit their own tasks, can see/edit/create tags, can filter tasks by tags; can remove attachments on tasks they are assigned to

Task ➝ Create: All of the above, plus can create their own tasks

Task Admin Permissions (should also have at least the equivalent Task permission)

Task Admin ➝ View: Has access to others' tasks, can be assigned tasks, can comment

Task Admin ➝ Edit: All of the above, plus can edit others' tasks (this permission or above is required to have the ability to assign other team members to tasks/add other team members as watchers)

Task Admin ➝ Create: All of the above, plus can create others' tasks

Client ➝ View: Required to see/select clients in the Assignee and Watcher lists on a task

Team Management ➝ View: Required to see/select other team members in the Assignee and Watcher lists on a task

**Note** Time tracker and project permissions are also a part of Task Management.

Project ➝ Edit: Required to copy attachments to the project's Files & Media

Time Tracker Permissions

Time Tracker ➝ Ability to use the timer and time tracking feature

Time Tracker Admin Permissions

Time Tracker Admin ➝ Able to view and edit the time entries of all users

Reporting Permission

If the reporting permission is turned on, team members with project permissions will be able to access projects that contain a task assigned to them, even if that team member is not assigned to that particular project.

Filtering Tasks*

Client ➝ View: Required to see/select clients in the Assignee and Watcher lists on filters

Team Management ➝ View: Required to see/select Team members in the Assignee and Watcher lists on filters

*If the user doesn't have either of these permissions, they will not see the filter by Assignee nor filter by Watcher options
